For over ten years, I’ve frequented lil 5 points ( one of Atl’s most popular arts districts). Lil 5, is one of those places in the city where you will always see something artistically off the wall or just…. CRAZY. For me, this place is a break away from popular culture. Lil 5 is home to wacky shops like: Junkman’s daughter, and psycho sisters. It is also home to Wax n Facts, an all vinyl record store and criminal records. It is the home of natural hair salons and small boutique selling some of the most unique fashions that the rest of the city hasn’t caught up with yet. This place screams Independence, creative control, and free artistry. Independent artists of all kinds often flock to this safe haven.
Over the years, I have watched this one particular emcee hustle the hell out of his music. He starts by simply asking, ” excuse me, do you listen to hip hop?”
I present to you: Cipher Kenni
